Meet the TICA JA Committee and TICA JA Regional Liaisons
As members of TICA, our continued success is gauged by our accomplishments and growth. By prototyping and testing a TICA Junior Achievement program, we hope to develop a program that will proactively attract and engage youthful exhibitors under the age of 18. These are the breeders of tomorrow and how we shape them will thus shape the future of TICA and the cat fancy itself.

Goals of the JA Program:
|
|
|
Educate and mentor Junior Exhibitors. |
|
|
Inspire and honor Junior Exhibitors with trophies and awards. |
|
|
Grow the number of TICA Junior Members. |
|
|
Create a Junior Exhibitor community of practice through online discussion groups. |
|
|
Make alliances with other animal husbandry-based youth programs. |
|
|
Support feline health and care. |
|
|
Secure the future of TICA and the cat fancy. |
|
At the Show: |
|
|
|
Be benched next to their JA Mentors of veteran cat exhibitors, who are supportive and helpful. |
|
|
Comply with all TICA show rules. |
|
|
Show in accordance with TICA scoring procedures. |
|
|
Participate in a special Junior Exhibitor-only ring to demonstrate general knowledge of good feline care and specialized knowledge about the cat/kitten being shown. |
|
|
Be honored with trophies and awards. |
|
|
Given information on how to become a Junior Member of TICA. |
|
|
Invited to join the TICA Junior Exhibitors' online discussion group. |
|
|
Contacted with future show information. |
|
|
Receive information on how to become involved in a county 4-H cat program. |
